PLANTS !

I have been given a lovely book..”100 plants that almost changed the world ” by Chris Beardshaw.One snippet is Grasp the Nettle..Aesops fables tell of the boy who picked some nettles very carefully and cried because they stung him,his Mother explained that he should have grasped them firmly to avoid being stung.Not so far back in time farmers on Europe found that dried nettles fed to their livestock improved their animals health,and increased milk yield in cows.Supermarkets now stock nettle tea,and for years I have added it to soups and casseroles…..never told anyone of course !
